Cross Country × side dump

Cross Country side dump trailers for sale

A side dump unloads sideways without raising the tub: more stable, safer and faster on job sites. Remorques Labelle offers the full Cross Country lineup, from the 40-foot 2-axle to the 5-axle Super-B train, factory ordered and delivered in Laval, Quebec.

Built in Canada by Cross Country Manufacturing (Morden, Manitoba), SDX side dumps pair a Hardox® 450 steel tub with flex corners, a 100,000 psi high-tensile frame and top sill, 5 or 6 inch hydraulic cylinders on an A-frame pedestal, and 30,000 lb Hendrickson air ride with wider track axles. Tare weight stays low, payload goes up.

Nine configurations: 402SDX (2 axles, 40'), 383SDX, 443SDX and 463SDX (38', 44' and 46' tridems), 453TSDX (Tridrive tridem), 494SDX (quad, 38' tub), 495SDX (5 axles), 536SDX (6 axles) and the 33.2 cubic yard 393SDXL + 292SDX Super-B train. Options: electric Sideroll tarp with wired or wireless controller, sidewall extensions, lift axles, UHMW liner, vibrator, strobe lights, aluminum wheels and custom colours.

Important: rules differ from one province to another. Permitted lengths, axle loads, Super-B trains, lift or steerable axles and 5, 6 or 7 axle configurations are not accepted everywhere. Some models are designed first for Western Canada or Ontario and are not road-legal as is in Quebec. Before ordering, we validate with you the configuration that complies with your province and your use (Quebec, Ontario, New Brunswick or Western Canada).

Frequently asked questions

What is a side dump and how is it different from an end dump?

A side dump tips its tub sideways instead of raising it to the rear. The centre of gravity stays low during the dump: less risk of tipping on soft or sloped ground, no height issue under power lines, and faster unloading. It can also dump while moving to spread material in a windrow.

What material and jobs is a side dump built for?

Aggregate, sand, stone, gravel, soil, asphalt and bulk material: road building, backfilling along trenches, quarries and sand pits, and any site where an end dump would be unstable. The tub has no centre divider, so it empties completely.

Which Cross Country side dump models do you offer?

The full SDX lineup: 402SDX (2 axles), 383SDX, 443SDX and 463SDX (tridem), 453TSDX (Tridrive), 494SDX (quad), 495SDX (5 axles), 536SDX (6 axles) and the 393SDXL + 292SDX Super-B train. Each model can be configured from 2 to 7 axles and in train spec.

Are all these models legal in Quebec?

Not necessarily as is. Each province has its own length, axle load and configuration rules (the Super-B train, Tridrive and 5, 6 and 7 axle units are aimed mainly at Western Canada and Ontario). In Quebec, some configurations must be adapted or are not permitted. Tell us where the trailer will run: we choose the compliant configuration with you before placing the order.

Are side dumps in stock in Laval?
